Edit offline user’s startup items

Tuesday, July 1st, 2008

As administrator, you might not only want to edit only your own startup configuration and the global startup configuration, but also the startup configuration of invidual users.

In order to implement this feature in Startup Manager, we could provide some list with user names in Startup Manager and mount the user registry based on the selection in this list. But the fact is that this is only possible on Windows NT.

So we should ask ourselves the following question: “Is it OK to drop support for Windows previous to Windows 2000? “. In my own opinion it is, but what do you think?

Should we continue supporting old Windows versions?
